Dakshinapatha Study Circle organized a lecture program on the uniqueness of Indian languages - Sanskrit language on June 26th at their office in KAPRA, Secunderabad.
The program began with the lighting of the lamp. Earlier in the program, Dakshinapatha Study Circle Telangana Region Coordinator Sri Kalyanachakravarthy explained to the participants about the aims of their organization and the various programs undertaken.
The main speaker of the meeting was Shri Mavuduri Suryanarayana, Telangana Region Secretary of the Jateeya Sahitya Parishath and a multilingual scholar.
In his speech, Shri Suryanarayana explained that Sanskrit has given inspiration to all Indian languages and is the source of many languages in the world.
Sri Suryanarayana said that human evolution began with fire, and all Indian languages began with the word Agni, and the Vedas are no exception. He explained that the one who popularized Vedic culture with language was Valmiki Maharishi, and that the Ramayana he wrote was a AdiKavyam (poem) . Sri Suryanarayana explained that if Panini showed the way by constructing the Sanskrit language and Grammer, the great poet Kalidasa created a flavor for that language. He said that all knowledge is stored in the Sanskrit, and that even though this language lacks value in our country, a university, Goethe University, has been established in Germany and many researches are being conducted on Sanskrit. He further added that there was discussion about what should be our National Language. Dr B R Ambedkar suggested to establish an infrastructure for developing Sanskrit to make it a National Language. However Nehru was in a hurry to announce a National language.
Sri Suryanarayana concluded his speech by suggesting that if we want to preserve such a precious Sanskrit language, there is no better way than for us all to make an effort to communicate in that language. Sri Mavuduri Suryanarayana’s speech, which was filled with many verses and sayings, impressed the audience.
After the offering of thanks, prasad was distributed to the AUDIENCE.
